Cartoonists visit wounded troops

Here’s a nice article about a recent visit by cartoonists from the National Cartoonists Society and Dreamworks to the Naval Medical Center – San Diego (AKA Balboa). The NCS has visited scores of active duty military and VA hospitals in an effort to give back to those who have served so honorably. An article about the program can be found by clicking here.

The USO has asked the cartoonists to visit wounded troops at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Landstuhl, Germany but doesn’t have the funds to pay. If you are interested in contributing to this worthy cause, contact Phil Pyster at 407-647-8839 (click here to send an email), or you can send a tax-deductible contribution by check to:

National Cartoonists Society Foundation – Support the Troops
341 N. Maitland Avenue, Suite 130
Maitland, FL 32751

All funds will be used to pay for the trip – there is no overhead since the program is run entirely by volunteers.
