I had posted a few images of patriotic messages that can be seen as military aircraft approach Offutt AFB in Nebraska (“Approach to Offutt AFB“). We verified the messages are real but did not realize how visible they really are. At least until Sgt Jim sent another image to me – this one is from the IKONOS satellite, taken 681 km (about 423 miles) above the earth, and it is only a few months old.
