THE PATRIOT GUARDS ARE AT ANOTHER FUNERAL. ……SO PLEASE PASS THIS ON AND IF YOU CAN BE THERE TO HELP SUPPORT THE FAMILY PLEASE DO.”

SGT Scott Burgess and Sgt. Michael S. Lammerts were killed on April 4th in Faryab province, Afghanistan during an attack by insurgents. Burgess was buried on April 15th in his home town of Franklin, Texas.

The residents of Franklin heard that the Westboro protesters were planning on disrupting the funeral, so they rallied the citizens to protect the dignity of the event.

Here is the report from the local TV news.

The Westboro protesters never showed. Good thing, because the entire town was ready for them.

Sergeants Burgess and Lammerts are heroes. They died defended the liberties of innocent civilians. On April 15th, the citizens of Franklin, Texas returned the favor by defending the dignity and memory of one of their own.
