On February 10, 2014, Kyle White got a call from the President. He was told that he was going to receive the Medal of Honor for his actions in Afghanistan seven years ago. When you read the account – and you should (you can read it here, and don’t forget to flip through the slide show) – you will be stunned not only by his heroism, but also by his tenacity and ability to take charge in the middle of a chaotic battle and save the lives of American and allied Afghanistan troops.
At 20 years old.
Now out of the service, Kyle will be a worthy recipient of the Medal of Honor, and a fine example of what today’s generation can do when thrust into leadership positions. Our country is in good hands.
